Tempeh Buffalo Nuggets
Ingredients
1 brick of tempeh
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup of plant based milk
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
1/4 cup Buffalo or other hot sauce
1/4 cup maple syrup
Enough vegetable oil to fill an inch in your pot
Method
1. Cube tempeh brick into bite sized pieces
2. Combine flour, spices and a pinch of salt in a bowl
3. Add milk and stir to combine
4. In a larger bowl add maple and hot sauce
5. Heat oil in a pot over medium high. Meanwhile, toss tempeh in the flour mixture to coat
7. Fry tempeh in batches until golden brown and carefully spoon onto a paper towel lined plate
8. Once they are all fried up add them to the bowl of hot sauce and maple and toss to coat. Serve with vegan ranch or throw them in a wrap!
