Welcome!
Hi, I’m Fraser, I am a professional chef, recipe developer, cookbook author and soon to be dad!
I’ve been in the food space for a long time, slowly crafting my skills around photography and video creation as a means to an end of marketing my previous restaurants. Over time, I realized that kitchen work isn’t as fun as it once was, and most importantly, that I wanted to simplify my life into the life that I wanted to live.
My approach to food and recipe writing has been the same since day 1. How do I make this recipe as simple as possible, with as much flavour as possible, and how easy is it for someone else with zero training to replicate. I want my food to be accessible. I want you to be able to find all of the ingredients in your small towns grocery store or market. Food is for everyone and recipes should be too.
As someone who grew up in the DIY scene (do it yourself), I have a very hard time being a walking billboard for these huge companies. Which is truly the main reason for creating this substack. I want a space that is 100% mine. I think one of my strongest attributes is that I am very genuine. I try and bring that into everything I do. Which is sometimes hard, because you can’t pay your mortgage with bricks of vegan cheese.
With the support of you, this space will allow me the opportunity to be as genuine as I can be.
